I would like to say a huge thank you to those who have sent me comments on my last post, I feel as though I have opened a door to a secret part of me and friends have come in and held my hand, I can’t tell you how much I needed that.
It all seems to fit together now. When Jen said she was going on this trip, she told us about this live journal that she had set up. I had never heard of one of these. She sent me an email with instructions on how to get into it. Then, in late summer 2005, sending me an email meant me paying a visit to our local library to receive it, as I didn’t have a computor of my own. After she had left, I would pop in the library every few days and read what she was getting up to, and now and again I would leave a comment (how I wish I had left more now), When in late January I was told of her disapearance, a thread was set up on the Thorn tree site, and I would anxiously follow that on the computor at the library. By April 2006, I was fed up with sitting in the library reading what was really harrowing posts about the search for Jenny, that I decided I needed a computor so I could follow what was going on any time. My older son Thomas had just turned 21 and had been given money for his birthday so we pooled our resources and bought a shiny shiny computor. Which I could hug and kiss right now. Best bit of electronic wizardary in the house!
Whilst following what was happening in South America, I also googled about stuff, mainly art, and one day I decided to google the name of a fab papier machie artist, Julie Arkell. and the result came up with ‘Juju Loves Polka Dots’, I liked the sound of the name and clicked on it, the rest as they say is history. I had discovered blogs.
Jenny’s story came to an end last Friday, but I have so much to thank her for, not only was she the best of friends, someone you could talk to and not notice the hours pass by, sitting by her fire in her back yard sharing wine, music, food and good conversation, but I have to thank her for leading me to you all, I may never have found this world had it not been for Jenny, I loved Jen and I love you all too. Heres to many more postings. Cheers!
