This is what Jason told us about the logo:

Filmdog is a fun and memorable name. The icon uses the letters DOG designed to create an ambigram. The mark also cleverly resembles a film strip.

Fantastic logo. It just goes to show that the more simple option is often the most effective. Love the subtelty of the text in the film strip and the use of negative space; very clever. I look forward to seeing the next logo of the week!
