DeviantART has been extremely useful for mee. It’s always a great place to find inspiration and design resources. They also have a huge collection of textures. If you can’t find the perfect texture here, you won’t find it anywhere. And best of all, all these textures are free!

CGTextures is a website that offers quality textures for CG artists. But that doesn’t mean you can’t use these texture for other purposes. CGTextures probably has some of the biggest texture libraries in the world. So go ahead and go find the perfect texture for your design.

ZenTextures was created by Caleb, the man behind Lost&Taken (another great texture site which you’ll see later in this list). This website is also packed with quality textures. Whether you’re looking for paper textures or fabric textures, ZenTextures has them all!

Another great texture resource. Texturez is run by two people from Budapest, Hungary. They collected almost 1000 free textures. That’s means you’ll have plenty of choice!

This is probably one of the best known stock photography sites in the world. iStockPhoto is packed with various stock photos of the best quality. They also have plenty of textures. Use the search box to find them. For a few dollars you can buy some really beautiful textures.

Another great stock photography resource. The main difference between SXC and iStockPhoto is the price: every item on SXC is free. They also offer premium textures (redirect to iStockphoto). I’m sure that you’ll find some great textures on this website.
