Stock images can be very usefull for designs, websites… There are a lot of great stock sites where you can buy stock photograpy (Crestock, iStockPhoto,…). But you don’t always have to pay to get some great stock. Here are some sites that offer the best free stock images:
Stock.xchng
One of my favorites. With more than 380,000 photo’s, you’ll definatly find what you need.
Stockvault
Stockvault.net is a stock photo sharing website where designers and photographers can meet to share their images.
Flickr
Many Flickr users have chosen to offer their work under a Creative Commons license, and you can browse or search through content under each type of license.
BurningWell
BurningWell is a repository for public domain (free for any use) images. You are free to download, copy and use the photos you find here for any purpose.
OpenPhoto
You can search photo’s by category, or you can use the tag cloud on the top of the homepage.

FreePhotosBank
Free to use as long as you are using them for a website, book, magazine, etc.
EveryStockPhoto
A search engine for free photos. These come from many sources and are license-specific. Membership is free and allows you to rate, tag, collect and comment on photos.
ImageBase
Free high resolution stock (1600×1200 or 3072×2048).
MorgueFile
This morgue file contains free high resolution digital stock photography for either corporate or public use.
